Not only have I known Dave and John for years, but they are also the ones who crafted the super-sweet theme song that you will hear at the beginning of the episode. They are also both great guys. Dave has appeared on the episode a couple of times and John and I had recorded an earlier episode that, for several reasons, never aired. John and Dave now make music under the moniker simplemachine and many of you are probably familiar with their first singles "Unbroken" and "Ingloria". We go into their songwriting process and even hear an early demo of Unbroken before playing the song. We also play the first simplemachine song featuring John on lead vocals called "Unenlightened".
