Me like me like me all right, [00:12:22] Speaker B: thank you so much. It's gonna be a killer show once again. It starts at 7pm and it's gonna be incredible. And speaking of incredible, it's time to go on to our band show. We like to check in with our band show every week. Guys, what is going on with our band show this week? [00:12:38] Speaker D: Thank you very much BJ and welcome in to our band show. Patrick W. Huber here, producer and director for an amazing team of recording artists aimed to film musicians in the Hudson Valley area and beyond. It has been a long time coming, but this past October we had the opportunity to be a part of the O Positive Music Festival in Kingston, New York. After talking to the organizers, they were gracious enough to invite us to film three solid bands at the amazing assembly venue in Kingston. A fantastic, wide open space for a show and the overall festival itself was packed full of great music, super supportive fans, and it lasted all weekend long. Stellar work goes into making this thing happen. And for those that have never heard of O Positive, they are a nonprofit healthcare access organization powered by communities who share the belief that healthcare is a community, responsibility and creativity is essential for collective health. O Positive was founded by artists, doctors, dentists and wellness practitioners who joined forces to acknowledge that art and medicine are of equal value in the community and to forge a new system of equitable access to care. Now you may be asking yourself, why now in March, so many months after we film these bands that we're releasing the recordings to these videos? Well, to be honest, we've been a little backed up. Our day to day lives have have taken us in different directions and this project in particular has been something I've had to tackle head on. It is the first time that I've took the reins of mixing an audio project and you know what? I had a lot of fun. Normally I'm just in charge of all the visual elements that you see on our social channels, but for this I was able to sort of dial in all the instruments, the vocals, everything, and have a great time doing so. To all those musicians, sound engineers, and folks that have been processing audio longer than I have, I salute you. Although I enjoy playing in this sandbox, to master the subtleties of music does take a lot of dedication and time. This brings us to the first band we recorded at O Positive, a band called Overheard. Originating in the Hudson Valley, some of their members even calling Kingston their home, others exploring Brooklyn. Their offbeat brand of indie rock is both tender and frantic, weaving together elements of folk and rock and grunge. Their dynamic and melodic songs shift between delicate moments and naughty catharsis. It was a pleasure to dive into Compression, EQ and all the other cool tools to mix their set. This is why this week we are spotlighting Overheard performing Juno recorded live at O Positive Festival in Kingston, New York. Hey, thanks for being here. [00:15:39] Speaker B: Thanks to Big Girl, thanks to Wild Pink, thanks to O Positive for putting [00:15:44] Speaker A: on this festival and for providing health care to creative people who are so often denied what should be a universal right. It's crazy that 15 years after they started this whole thing that it's still a very necessary service. But here we are. And actually, really, now more than ever. I hate that phrase. We've all been saying it too much over the past five years. But really, really, really these days, community is everything. So like, check on your neighbors and keep taking care of each other because the powers that be are not going to we love you. With juno. [00:16:54] Speaker C: Christ. [00:17:25] Speaker A: So that. Sa. In dusty sunshine. Once discovered couldn't play the power Such answers didn't know where to start so I. I'm a. Once discovered couldn't play the part. Listen closely I will speak his name Juno and me we are one and the same. [00:21:23] Speaker D: Such great music from Overheard. I really did enjoy their set and it was really magical to work on their audio and sort of produce something awesome from that sort of concert. And for such a good cause as well. I hope that you'll just go ahead and find them on streaming services and listen to all their music and enjoy. We have a lot more from Overheard and the other two bands from that evening coming up in the months ahead, so we'll definitely bring them to the spotlight so that you can listen. Another amazing week of fantastic music. I hope you'll check out the full videos of this week's spotlighted artist on the YouTube channel and check out some clips from our past guests on the Instagram, both at our bandshow. Also, for a catalog of our full sessions, check out our website Our Bandshow with another fantastic weekend ahead. That's all the music I had to share with you and BJ I just want to send it back to you. [00:22:28] Speaker B: All right, Thanks a lot, man. I really appreciate our band show doing some of the most important work in the 518. And now where we are moving on to Metroland now, hot singles in your area. It is a list compiled every month by Andy Scullen. And this week I decided to go with Sam Torres. Easy Cry Fire. [00:24:55] Speaker A: Sa. Sa.
