[00:00:00] Speaker A: All right, welcome to unsight 500 and eighteen's weekend spotlight for the weekend of April 12, 2024. Gonna be real with you. This is gonna be a pretty short, straightforward episode. I just got out of work. I work from home on Wednesdays and I punched out, I would say about four minutes ago. And typically what I do is once I'm done with work, I like to like kind of unwind and go get away from my desk and get out of work mode, I guess for a little bit for like an hour or so and then record the spotlight around 530 or six or so. But I have so much shit to do tonight that I literally punched out. Didn't even leave my desk, just spun the microphone towards me and here we are. So it's going to be quick, but I made a promise to put these out every week and I will continue to do so even if it's kind of a truncated version. So anyway, with that said, let's get started.
[00:00:58] Speaker B: He was born on a Saturday in 73. He loves park rock music. Finding the 13 cabin in the dazzle dance rock now on the beast guitar with a short wind radio back his motherfucking Andy scolding look at motherfucker. Cause here he comes, Andy scrolling, wearing his or his hat.
[00:01:25] Speaker A: All right, so this next one is super interesting. I heard about it from Mikey Bash of sugar hold jive hive live, Ratzel's jacket and like a million other things had told me about this. It's at the Albany indoor rock climbing. It's tonight as you're listening to this Thursday at 830. It's Galeen. Am I, you know, and I don't even know if I'm pronouncing that right. I've seen the name in print. I've never heard it pronounced. So if I'm pronouncing that wrong, I super fucking apologize. But Galeen, Pat and the pissers and Cooper's hawk, it's a ten dollar show. It's a dry space, all ages. And there is a waiver required to get in. I believe that's just, you know, probably just part of the insurance of the Albany indoor rock climbing or the rules there. You sign a waiver to get in, which makes total sense. But it's seems like a really cool place to see a show. So like you should definitely check it out. And if you do check it out, come back and, you know, send me a DM or something. Just let me know how it was. Because I can't make it tomorrow night or tonight, I guess as we're as this is released, but I would, I'm very interested in shows there. Maybe just, you know, let me know, let me know how it goes. But anyway, it's Galeen, if I'm pronouncing that even remotely correct. Pat and the pisters and Cooper, sock and Mike, you pointed me to a song of theirs, song called Collide. And I reached out to Cooper Sock to ask if I was cool if I played the song. So we're going to play it right now. This is Cooper's Hawk. The song is called Collide. And again you can see Cooper's Hawk tonight with Galeen, Pat and the pissers at Albany indoor rock climb. This is collide on unsigned 500 eighteen's weekend spotlight.
[00:04:00] Speaker B: Together we got together.
[00:05:57] Speaker A: Alright, so that was Collide, Cooper's Hawk. And this next one we have eblock Saturday night at Electric Grinch in Schenectady. And although electric wrench has not been open that long, they're like fairly quickly making a name for themselves as like a super cool spot to go see live music. I've been there a couple times already and both times just such a fun time. Great staff, great sound, great environment, great everything. Perfect spot for local music and a perfect spot to go catch e block. If you have not seen eblock, you really don't know what you're missing. So go check them out. This Saturday it's going to be starting at 08:00. Electric wrench opens at 04:00. So you can go and pregame before eblock comes on 08:00 to 11:00 and right now we're going to listen to a song from eblock. This is their latest single and it's called number one. And it's here on unsigned 500 eighteen's weekend spotlight.
[00:07:20] Speaker B: But it's all gonna hurt.
But you could be my little creature. You could be my number one.
Cause you're too many.
No snap coming.
You could be my number one. Laying back, no one ever halfway turns the stream. I'm not just you could be my little creature, you could be my number one. Sitting on, kicking off your sneaker, slippin in the beds of the breakathon cause I swim in a sea of hope is changing how the show.
[00:09:54] Speaker A: All right, so that was number one, e block. And again they're playing electric ranch Saturday night starting at 08:00. And that's it for tonight and or for today or whatever. And I apologize for being short, but sometimes I just have a bunch of stuff to do and you know, I did promise to put, put these out, put out episodes twice a week, but I didn't say how long they had to be, so this is a very short one. But anyway, I am Andy Scullen. This is unsigned 500, eighteen's weekend spotlight, and I'll see you on the roads. Unsigned 518 is produced and hosted by me, Andy Scullen.
