And now we're moving into Beacon, New York, where there is a medieval ren faire. You've got so much going on. There's so much going on. And you know who's gonna be there. Gozer's gonna be there. And you know who's gonna talk about it. Gozer. What's up, guys?
[00:11:21] Speaker D: On Saturday, April 18th, we're gonna head down to Beacon, New York to play a medieval ren faire hosted by Cirque du Creep. And we're gonna be playing alongside the dustbowl fairies and Mama Doom.
Thematically, this is a good fit for us. A lot of our songs are heavily inspired by the fantasy genre, and Time Walk in particular is about Windle, the time traveling wizard and his search for immortality. So thematically, it's a really good fit for us. And the event itself is going to be cool as hell. We're super excited just to go to the event, check out the vendors, and just immerse ourselves in the culture down there.
In other news, we got some other cool shows coming up in the summer, and this is all kind of snowballing. And leading up to October 10th at Putnam Place is going to be the first annual Joint Jam. It's a festival that we're hosting. We've got six local bands, three out of town bands. We're looking to do it annually, and we are going to work our butts off to try and get that place as close to selling out as possible. So mark your calendars. October 10, 2026, Putnam Place, the first annual Joint Jam.
[00:12:26] Speaker C: All right, awesome. I'm always up for good Ren fair and all the crazy shenanigans that goes on. This is going to be no different.
[00:12:32] Speaker A: Different.
[00:12:34] Speaker C: If you get a chance, get over there. But for now we're gonna play some gozer and this is time one.
[00:13:14] Speaker A: Hey how are you?

[00:17:18] Speaker C: all right, that was Time Walk. That's the newest single from Gozer.
Always good, always awesome. Love that band. Speaking of loving, we are going into our band show every week we try to catch up with what's going on with our band show, doing some of the most important work in the 518. Guys, what is up with our band show this week?
[00:17:37] Speaker E: Thank you very much BJ and welcome in to our band show.
Patrick W. Huber here, producer and director for an amazing team of recording artists aimed to film musicians in the Hudson Valley area and beyond.
Likely no different than a lot of people, but the music I listen to is largely based on the mood I'm in each week for this podcast. I just look for something in the music that inspires me by the performers we've recorded with and then I share it all with you. Well, this week the reason is rather simple.
Ben Basilli released his Ben Ergy album last year. His release show was held at Reason and Ruckus on Main street in Poughkeepsie, New York.
Myself and the rest of the team were invited to film the show. It was a great night and we got a lot of gorgeous footage from inside this bricked walled venue.
Sometime after the production last year, I started to attend as a listener the Poughkeepsie Jazz Project, a jazz jam session that Ben runs most Tuesday nights at Mahoney's, located next to the Poughkeepsie train station.
The atmosphere of evolving musicians with jazz standards at the core has been a relaxing after work experience.
Recently I missed a couple sessions due to life happening, but I'm excited to jump back in this upcoming Tuesday.
When I checked the Poughkeepsie Jazz Project's Facebook page, yes, a Facebook page for the lineup, I found that Ben Basilli's birthday jam is coming up. That set the mood for me.
Just the happiness associated with birthday parties got me in the mood for some jazz ska fusion. I'm excited to listen to another cool jam this upcoming Tuesday featuring Ben Basilli, Sean Morrison, Lou Pappas and Tim Herman in the house band alongside all the other wonderful jazz musicians that stopped by to play. The Simple Joy of a Jazz Jam is why this week I want to spotlight Ben Basilli's original song Coco Nib and his band's cover of Papa Was a Rolling Stone, both recorded live at Reason and Ruckus in Poughkeepsie, New York by our band show.
[00:19:42] Speaker A: For those of you who do not
[00:19:43] Speaker C: know, my name is Ben Vasily.
And this is Ben Ergy.
